Just out of curiosity, how long did it take you to develop Radicore from scratch to its first release? Did you do it all on your own?

I ask because I'm continually staggered by the amount of work that has obviously gone into it.

I started to write this framework in my spare time in 2003 after I had taught myself PHP. It is actually a rewrite of a similar framework which I first designed and built in 1985 in COBOL, then rewrote in the 1990s in an obscure language called Uniface.

I built it as a personal project and published some documentation on my website, then I started getting enquiries from people who wanted to use my code in their applications. After a while I decided to release it as open source.

It is entirely my own work and not a copy of someone else's work. I designed and built everything single handed without any interference from others who think they know better.

I'm glad you like it. It means that my efforts are not totally wasted.

The main purpose of framework is to allow designers and developers to focus on building an unique feature for their web based projects rather than re-inventing by coding.
