Hello Tony

Just managed to successfully install Radicore on Ubuntu 11.10 and wanted to draw your attention to the following:

In step 2 of the installation instructions you mention that we should set the AllowOverride option in httpd.conf. I tried that and it didn't work. Some Googling revealed the following:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EnablingUseOfApacheHtacces sFiles
and that in Apache2 httpd.conf has been deprecated.

I had to edit /etc/apache2/sites-available/default and set AllowOverride All under <Directory /var/www/> to get the PHP include files working.

Rest was ok. Sorry if this is repetition but I couldn't find this anywhere in the forums.

Please update the installation instructions accordingly.

Hope this helps the next newb Smile

I'm afraid I can't keep track of any peculiarities of individual operating systems, especially when they change from the established defaults. What I have documented has worked successfully on a variety of operating systems for many years, so as far as I am concerend it is up to the users of those operating systems to know how they work and to deal with their peculiariies.
