According to RADICORE for PHP - creating PDF output, each subsystem uses its own pdf.styles.inc file.
I have now the problem that my subsystem/pdf.styles.inc file is only used if I rename the pdf.styles.inc files in the audit, menu and workflow subsystems.
Do I have to change a config file somewhere?

The only way this can happen is if you have not set your include_path to start with '.' which means the current directory. If it finds the file in the current directory then it will stop searching and will ignore any files with the same name in other directories.
