hi Tony,

I have been following ZK
http://www.zkoss.org/

On the surface it looks quite user friendly to use as a presentation layer.

I was wondering if ZK can fit into radicore framework? Radicore already has a strong application dictionary framework (ORM), I somehow feel that more can still be done on the presentation layer to enhance the looks or speed up interaction with server (AJAX).

I know nothing about ZK, nor do I have the time to investigate it. I am especially not interested in alternative presentation layers which provide a different cosmetic appearance at the cost of complexity or development speed.

And what on earth makes you think that AJAX can speed up interaction with the server? The fact that it breaks the page down into smaller pieces does not make it faster. It actually bombards the server with multiple requests which can cause problems, especially when each request needs to access session data.

I do not use javascript (which is what AJAX is) for reasons explained in http://www.tonymarston.net/php-mysql/infrastructure-faq.html #faq01
