For those columns which are foreign keys to a technical key is it possible to modify the orderby for column headings in a list view?

for example:
I have a person table which has a foreign key to a company table. The primary key of the company table is a technical key.

In the list view of the person table I am displaying the company name instead of the technical key (by setting its control to dropdown in the dictionary). Sorting on the company name column is confusing to the user because it's actually sorting on the numerical technical key.

Is it possible to change this behavior to sort on the company name?
Thanks

If you have the control for the foreign key set to popup or dropdown the default behaviour is to display the description field instead of the id field, but to still sort on the id.

If you look in the XML output file you should see that both the id and description fields are available, so it is a simple matter to change the screen structure file so that it displays the description field instead of the id. In that way it will actually sort on the description field.
