Use of getData_raw() [message #1977]

I'm using getData_raw() to retrieve data from a different table whilst within a table class. It's working fine, except that I want to change the order of the data being retrieved. Anything that I put in $this->sql_orderby is being ignored. Am I doing something wrong?

No, that should work. Can you step through with your debugger to see what is happening to the value in $this->sql_orderby? It sounds like it is being lost before the call to $this->_dml_getData().
