Change how radicore displays dates [message #1612]

I'd like to change the way Radicore displays dates, instead of '10 Nov 2009' I'd like to see '10/11/2009'.
Is there any other way to do it rather than modifying getExternalDate in std.datevalidation.class.inc?

Date formats are controlled by a global setting, as documented in $GLOBALS['date_format']. I shall be adding new options in the next release.
