Tony,

I would like to have the help screen opened up in a new window when initiated by the user. This would mean the user could have both their system screen and help screen open at the same time to be able to refer between the two when seeking help.

Is this something you would consider making an option?

Graham

The Radicore output is XHTML, not HTML, and this does not provide the option to specify a "target" attribute on the anchor tag.

This option is (or should be) already available in your web browser. Instead of just left-clicking on the hyperlink you should right click to bring up a context menu which should have the following options:

  • Open
The reason behind this is that users expect all hyperlinks to work in the same way regardless of which application generated them, so if a hyperlink suddenly opened up a new window instead of continuing in the current window, the pressing of the "back" button would not behave as expected, and this would confuse the user.

It is therefore the user's choice as to whether a hyperlink should open up in the current window or a separate one.

Thanks for the explanation. That's fine and makes good sense.
